Government Affairs

NCA's Government Relations program is looking out for your company's best interest. NCA is the recognized spokesperson on behalf of the coffee industry to the government. Through many active committees, NCA makes recommendations to government agencies and represents the industry on both national and international coffee matters.
   


Public Relations

Through NCA's Public Relations program, a positive image of the industry is being brewed. NCA is also the public voice of the American coffee industry to the media, the trade and the general public. NCA's Scientific Advisory Group (SAG) monitors medical research taking place around the world on a continual basis and provides in-depth evaluation of research critical to the coffee industry. It also funds on-going research into the health effects of coffee and caffeine, positive research that is published in the most prestigious medical journals.

Through SAG, the Association has invested over $6 million in support of nearly 80 original investigations or scientific reviews on coffee and health issues. Over 70 of these studies have been published in peer-reviewed literature or presented at scientific meetings. In recent years, an additional $1.5 million has been spent on health issues management to help ensure that a balanced message is presented by the media.
